Stainless Steel Rats

Born from the need for a para-human response during the North African campaign of WWII, the desert rats created a flying squad of armoured units to counter the axis para-human assault teams.

The division consists of two brigades forming the 5th Division, also known as the North African Division, but more commonly known as the Stainless Steel Rats. Their base of operations is at the Darkmoor military facility, and there is a rotation policy where one brigade is resident in the UK, and the other brigade is out on active duty. The division also provides an adiotanl level of security for the DICEC facility.

Each brigade has 8,000 men, 1,000 of which are trained in the use of powered armour systems.

The Rats regularly make use of three combat suits, though they are known to have other designs that are currently secret.
